About the event
UNICEF, together with the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and the Nazarbayev University Office of Sustainability, is preparing a joint event dedicated to the upcoming Eco-Summit scheduled for April 2026.
As part of the program, participants will be invited to a special screening of a documentary film produced by AFD, which explores the challenges and future of water resources in Central Asia. The event will take place on 5 December and aims to bring together students, experts, and partners interested in sustainable development, regional water security, and environmental cooperation.
The event will also serve as the Youth Eco Community Meetup: Climate & Water Challenges in Central Asia, designed to strengthen ongoing dialogue, engagement, and youth leadership on environmental issues. This initiative reflects the shared commitment of UNICEF, AFD, and the Nazarbayev University Office of Sustainability to foster dialogue, raise awareness, and support youth engagement around environmental and climate issues in Central Asia.
