About the event
The Graduate School of Public Policy invites the NU community to an engaging online talk by Dr. Onajomo (Ona) Akemu, Associate Professor at the University of Amsterdam and former NU GSB faculty member.
In this session, participants will cut through the hype around hybrid work and generative AI to explore evidence-based insights on how organizations can adapt and thrive. The talk will focus on three key aspects of organizational life - who does the work, how it’s coordinated, and how value is created and rewarded.
Attendees will learn how hybrid work broadens access to talent while posing coordination challenges, and how generative AI transforms workflows by automating tasks, boosting creativity, and reshaping performance dynamics. By the end, participants will gain practical tools for redesigning workflows, mentoring effectively, setting AI-use standards, and aligning incentives with new sources of value.
