We are delighted to invite you to our monthly World on Wednesday dedicated this month to the celebration of Nauryz is going to be part of the university-wide celebration of Nauryz on March 31. The event is being organized with the support of the International Students and Scholars Services of the Department of Internationalization and the Social Development Fund by the NU Association of International students in collaboration with several student clubs: Shyraq, Rave, Kazakh Stage, and NU Orchestra.
This event will feature international students from Turkic countries—Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Afghanistan—who will showcase the diverse cultural traditions of their nations and share how Nauryz is celebrated in their homelands.
A special highlight of the event will be live performances of traditional customs and traditions, including Betashar (a Kazakh wedding ceremony) and Tusau Keser (a child’s first steps celebration), featuring the participation of both international and local students and faculty and staff, and traditional dance performances and interactive traditional games. This special program will provide you with an immersive and engaging experience, bringing the spirit of Nauryz to life.
And of course there will be traditional food tasting.
Everyone is welcome.
