About the event
On April 15, 2026, the university will host a meeting with renowned Kazakh writer Askar Altai.
The event will serve as the concluding stage of the “Uly Äñgime” project, which is designed to engage university students in reading and analyzing major works of Kazakh literature.
Purpose: The project aims to develop students’ critical thinking, language skills, and emotional and cognitive empathy through literary reading and analysis, while also broadening their cultural horizons through Kazakh literature.
This year, the project brought together students and faculty members from Nazarbayev University, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Eurasian Humanities Institute, and Alikhan Bokeikhan University. The event will provide a platform for deeper engagement with Kazakh literature, strengthen literary analysis skills, and foster meaningful dialogue between the author and the academic community.
