About the Lecturers:
Dr. Shazim Ali Memon
Title: Reference Managers: Your Personalized Research Assistant
Bio:Dr. Memon has more than 17 years of experience and has published more than 130 SCI journal papers (80% published in Q1 category journals) on various topics, including the development and application of PCMs in buildings. His name has been included among the top 2% of the world’s most impactful scientists, according to a bibliometric study conducted by researchers from Stanford University. He is ranked number 1 in Kazakhstan in terms of the number of publications, h-index, and citations in several categories listed in the All Science Journal Classification and Quacquarelli Symonds Classification.As of today, his Google Scholar indices are (Citation 9333 and h-index 52), and his Scopus citation indices are (Citation 7133 and h-index 48). Currently, he is serving as an Associate Editor of Advances in Civil Engineering, Frontiers in Materials, Process and Energy Systems Engineering, Frontiers in Built Environment, and Frontiers in Energy Research. He is also an Academic Editor of Advances in Materials and Engineering and Journal of Energy, and an Editorial Board Member of Scientific Reports, Buildings, and the International Journal of Concrete Structures and Materials.

Title: Zooming in with Zotero
Bio: April Manabat is currently the Senior Expert Librarian at Nazarbayev University in Astana, Kazakhstan. She is also a Liaison Librarian for the School of Science and Humanities and the Information Literacy Coordinator of the NU Library. She is currently earning her PhD in Development Education at Central Luzon State University - Distance, Open and Transnational University. Her research interests include academic librarianship, media and information literacy, reference services in libraries, and evidence-based practice in librarianship.

In this presentation, learners will:
Understand the importance of reference management tools for scholarly needs
Be familiar with Zotero reference management software and its features
Learn how to add and organize references using Zotero
Insert citations from Zotero into MS Word manuscripts
Change citation styles in Zotero instantly
Collaborate with others using Zotero for research projects such as literature reviews
