As part of the course ‘Approaches to Global Development’, the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Nazarbayev University, cordially invites you to the guest lecture: ‘German Development Cooperation in Kazakhstan: Hydrogen & Decarbonization Diplomacy’.
Speaker: Dr. Manuel Andresh, Head of Hydrogen Diplomacy Office, German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ)
Background: Manuel Andresh, born in Karlsruhe, Germany, is the Head of Hydrogen Diplomacy Office Astana, leading the Decarbonization Diplomacy Activities of GIZ in Kazakhstan / Central Asia. Before that, he worked as advisor for the International Power-to-X Hub and the Climate Action Programme for the Chemical Industry (CAPCI) within GIZ in Bonn. His experience in the topic of hydrogen, Manuel firstly collected during his work as researcher and PhD candidate at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, where he conducted techno-economic, ecological and social sustainability assessments of different green hydrogen and Power-to-X technologies.
