NURA Machineshop invites Nazarbayev University students to participate in a Free Practical Course: Automation Systems with SIMATIC S7-1500 in TIA Portal
This hands-on course is designed to provide students with practical skills in designing and programming automation systems using the SIMATIC S7-1500 microcontroller within the TIA Portal software environment.
Participants will gain experience in the following areas:
Creating a project and configuring hardware in TIA Portal
Working with the tag editor
Using OB (Organizational Blocks), FC (Functions), FB (Function Blocks), and DB (Data Blocks) in programming
Logical operations, edge detection, triggers, timers, and counters (hands-on)
Arithmetic operations and type conversions (hands-on)
Working with analog and discrete I/O modules (hands-on)
Program debugging: monitoring and changing variables, forcing I/O (hands-on)
Troubleshooting and fixing programming errors (hands-on)
Integrating an HMI panel into the project (hands-on)
Configuring screens and graphic elements in the HMI editor (hands-on)
Testing the project in simulation mode (hands-on)
The course is suitable for students of the Graduate School of Engineering and Digital Sciences with a background in electrical engineering, automatic control, and industrial network technologies.
By the end of the course, participants will acquire practical experience in developing and debugging automation systems using the SIMATIC S7-1500 PLC and the TIA Portal environment.
DURATION: 12 academic hours
GROUP SIZE: Limited to 6 participants
CERTIFICATE: Issued upon successful completion of the course
