 • Kassym Talgatuly — Senior student researching sustainable geopolymer concrete using steel industrial by-products (also an HKU exchange alumnus).

 •  Dilnaz Nurakhmet & Yasmin Mekebayeva — Senior students in the Environmental Engineering Lab, working on water treatment with ceramic membranes.

 •  Saken Sandybay — PhD student exploring multiple uses of steel-making by-products in sustainable civil engineering.
