About the event
The Chemistry Seminar Series at NU continues with an invited research lecture by Dr. Jia Min Chin, Associate Professor at the University of Vienna (Austria). In her talk, Dr. Chin will explore how structural control of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) can be used to enhance material performance, opening new possibilities in functional materials and catalysis.
Dr. Chin completed her PhD at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology under the supervision of 2005 Nobel Laureate Professor Richard R. Schrock. She has held research and leadership positions in Singapore and the UK, and is currently based at the University of Vienna, where she was awarded an ERC Consolidator Grant for her work on field-manipulation of MOF materials.
All students, faculty, and researchers interested in chemistry, materials science, and advanced functional materials are welcome to attend.
